Ports Used by RU Server
Default communication port
By default, RU Server communicates with Viewer and Hosts via a single TCP port 5655
. This port must be open/allowed on RU Server side as inbound port. See Making RU Server accessible.
On the Viewer and Host sides this port should be allowed as outbound port.
Module | Port | Direction |
---|---|---|
RU Server | TCP 5655 |
Inbound |
Viewer | TCP 5655 |
Outbound |
Host | TCP 5655 |
Outbound |
Custom communication ports
You can add multiple communication ports and assign them different roles in Port Manager. If you add your custom ports, make sure that you mirror the changes in the Internet-ID connection settings on the Viewer and Host sides.
Administration port
You can remotely connect to a running RU Server from another computer using Admin Console. By default, the TCP port 5670
is used:
Module | Port | Direction |
---|---|---|
RU Server PC | TCP 5670 |
Inbound |
Admin Console PC | TCP 5670 |
Outbound |
For more information, see the Remote connection section on the Admin Console page.
